Joe Letterman Obituary
Joe Letterman, age 78, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Joe was son of the late Milton & Hattie Bolick Letterman and native of Mitchell County. He was a U S Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in construction for Flour Construction Company. Joe was known to the grand Kids as "Poppy".
He is survived by his wife; Elizabeth "Libby" Letterman.
Step-daughter:
Donna Johnson and her husband Jay
Three Sisters:
Shirley Butner, Allene Lee, Margie Wilson
Four Grandchildren: Kayleigh Wells, Joseph Wells, Morgan Johnson and Taylor Johnson.
The Funeral service will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 with Reverend Roy Perry officiating. Interment will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Guest register available at www.mcmahnsfuneralhome.com. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
