Lewis Head Obituary
Lewis William Head, age 94, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, January 9, 2017, at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center.
He was the son of the late Henry Head and the late Irene Head and was a native of Rutherford County. Lewis was a U S Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was the widower of the late Mary Sue Head.
He is also survived by
One Son:
Doug Head and his wife Angela of Rutherfordton, NC
One Sister:
Margaret Burgess, Forest City, NC
Two Grandchildren: Matthew Head and Maria Head.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2017 with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend John Huntley officiating.
