Mildred Skipper Obituary
Mildred Skipper, age 96, of Forest City, died Friday, November 3, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Jake Franklin and the late Elma Shelton Franklin. She was a loving mother and grandmother, loved to do word search puzzles and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred D. Skipper, one daughter Rosa Lee Skipper, three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Roma Jean Turner of East Flat Rock, NC
Freda Gosnell of Marshall, NC
Nineteen Grandchildren
Eighteen Great-Grandchildren
Thirty nine Great-Great-Grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017 with Reverend Jerry Ruppe and Reverend Dwayne Scruggs officiating. Interment will be at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. The family is gathering at the home of Don and Alice Head.
