John F.
McMahan, II - Managing Director & Owner
John is married to Christie Briscoe McMahan and both
are Rutherford County Natives. John is a graduate of R-S
Central High School and a 1983 graduate of Gupton Jones College of
Mortuary Science in Atlanta. He is National Board Certified
and licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. He is the
owner and president of McMahan's Funeral Home. John and
Christie have three children, John III (Mackie), Jesse Elizabeth
and Lydia Ramona. John resides in Rutherfordton and is a
member of the First Baptist Church Rutherfordton. John
is also a retired volunteer firefighter with the Rutherfordton Fire
Department with 20 years of service.

Adam Baynard -Funeral Service Licensee
Adam joined the staff of McMahans in March of 2010. He
is a Rutherford County native and a 1999 graduate of Fayetteville
Technical Community College with a Associates Degree in
Funeral Service Education. He is National Board Certified and
a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Adam resides in
Forest City. He attends Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and is
a Leuitenant/ EMT with the Rutherford County Rescue Crew. |

Larry Skipper-Funeral Service
Trainee
Larry Skipper is a native of Rutherford County and a 1993
graduate of Chase High School. He is married to Amanda Atkins
Skipper and they live in Cliffside NC with their two children.
Larry is a 2011 graduate of Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood
S.C. with an AAS in Funeral Service Education. Larry has begun his
apprenticeship in December 2012 to become a licensed Funeral
Director and Embalmer. Larry's grandfather A.C. McKinney, who
founded the funeral home in Cliffside and Frank McMahan started
their carerrs in funeral service together in 1946 and later
branched out and opened their own establishments in 1953
