Ransom Hicks Obituary
Ransom Jay Hicks, age 80, of Conover, NC, died Friday, February 22, 2019, at Carolina Caring in Newton, NC.
He was the son of the late Clyde Chauncy Hicks and the late Julie Carpenter Hicks.
He was a native of Burlington, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Hicks. Jay was a graduate of Clemson University class of 1967. He lived in the Hickory area for the last 30 years working for Whiteside Machine Co.

The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Rutherfordton City Cemetery with Reverend Dean Baughn officiating. Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery.
