Broughton Harris Obituary
Broughton Harris, age 86, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
He was a native of McDowell County and the son of the late Jessie Harris and the late Adeline Owens Harris. He was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Broyhill Furniture. Broughton also loved to visit the Polk County Senior Center Meeting Place. He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Hensley Harris.
He is survived by

One Son:
Tim Harris and wife Donna of Chesnee, SC
Two Sisters:
Yvonne "Vonnie" Greene
Minnie Mckelvey both of Green Creek
One Brother in law:
Donald Ray Hensley and wife Ann of Fairview, NC

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at West Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at West Memorial Baptist Church at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 with Reverend Stacey Clements, Reverend Charlie Glover, Reverend Billy Poe Jones and Dr. Mary High officiating. Interment will be at West Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
