Joyce Dover Obituary
Joyce Blanton Dover, age 93, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at her residence.
She was a native of Gaston County and the daughter of the late Ralph C. Blanton and the late Viola Maude Lee Blanton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton and was a former Sunday School Teacher and organist. She was a former member of the Blue Ridge Garden Club and the Rutherfordton Women's Club and served as past President for both clubs. Joyce retired from BB&T Bank in 1984. She was the widow to the late Harvey Lee Dover and was preceded in death by one son Ralph William "Bill" Dover and one daughter Sandy Dover Kistler.
She is survived by:

Karla Kistler Patel of Raleigh, NC and Charles William"Chuck" Kistler of Charlotte, NC

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 with Rev. Tim Marsh officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton at P.O. Box 839 Rutherfordton, NC 28139, Hospice of Rutherford County at P.O.
