Linda Byrd Earley

Linda Byrd Earley age 73, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Ray Edgar Byrd and the late Ruby Ethel Harris Byrd. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church, a graduate of R-S Central High School class of 1961 and a graduate of Cecil's Business College. She retired from Mastercraft as the General Accounting Manager. She loved to quilt, sew, paint, garden and spending time with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sons Kenneth Ray Earley and Kevin Reid Earley, one brother James Preston Byrd and two brothers in law; Glen Atchley and Larry Crowe.

She is survived by her husband: Donald R. Earley

Kay Frances Crowe

Four Grandchildren:
Jenna Rae Price, Carmen Louise White and husband Andrew, Raelyn Alexis Earley and Grayson Reid Earley

Dr. James Preston Byrd and wife Karen
Darren Byrd and wife Elaine

Three Nieces:
Connie Shytle and husband Jeff, Kim Wheat and husband Steve and Melissa Atchley

Great Nieces and Nephews:
Sarah, Zach, Michael, Savannah, Olivia, Caroline, Logan and Amanda



The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Southern Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Southern Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 with Reverend Bob Philbeck, Reverend John Perry and Dr. James Preston Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southern Baptist Church at 140 Church St. Rutherfordton, NC 28139 or Hospice of Rutherford County at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
