Albert James Searcy, age 86, of Asheville, NC, formerly of Rutherfordton died Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

He was the son of the late Aiden and Josphine Robertson Searcy and a native of Rutherford County. Albert was a U S Air Force veteran. He enjoyed gardenening, music and dancing.  Albert was also preceded in death by his siblings; Jeanette McCraw, Evelyn Erwin, Ethel Searcy, Alice Searcy and Clyde Searcy.

He is survived by his family; Kim Moyers (Gary), Sonya S. Tuthill (Wes), and Norma Jean Foster.

The graveside service will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2026 with Reverend Dr. Peter Surran officiating.  Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
