Alma Suttles Hodge, age 69, of Ellenboro, died Sunday, October 21, 2018, her residence. She was the daughter of the late Percy Suttles and the late Thelma Frady Suttles. She was a native of Rutherford County. Alma was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. She loved to garden and raise flowers. Alma also loved to cook for family and friends. She is survived by her husband: Roger "Butch" Hodge of Ellenboro. Two Sons: Allen Hodge and girlfriend Angie Freeman of Forest City Brian Hodge and his wife Wanda of Sunshine Two Sisters: Alice Smith and her husband Eddie "Tweed" of Rutherfordton Hattie Enloe and her husband George of Rutherfordton One Brother: William "Junior" Suttles and his wife Ella Mae of Golden Valley Special Baby Dog "Harley" The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Polk County at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with Reverend Ronnie Hodge and Reverend Warren Elliott officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
