Barbara Ann Wilson Chambers, age 78, of Lake Lure, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her grandchildren and other family on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Grover Arthur Wilson and the late Nannie Sue Earley Wilson. She was a member of Bills Creek Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for many years. She was a caregiver for many people for many years and was very independent, strong willed and extremely caring. She is preceded in death by four brothers; Bud, Tom, G.A. and Keith Wilson and by one son Kevin Lynn Chambers. She is survived by: One Daughter: Sherry Michelle Lynn Chambers McDaniel and husband Joel James McDaniel Jr. of Lake Lure, NC Two Sons: Rufus T. Chambers, III "Toby" and wife Amy of Chapin, SC Barry Gene Chambers of Little Mt., SC Six Grandchildren: Zachary Chambers, Taylor McDaniel, Brooke Chambers, Joel McDaniel III, Kayla Madison Chambers and Jacob River McDaniel The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Bills Creek Baptist Church in the sanctuary. The funeral service will be at Bill's Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2018 with Reverend Kenneth Hay officiating. Interment will be at Bill's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lake Lure, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
