Bardee Hensley Champion, age 80, of Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Bunyan Dee and Queen Hensley. Bardee was a native of Rutherford County and she was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband, Ace Burgin Champion Jr., two sisters, Barbara Bridges, and Mossie Sue Baynard, two brothers, JD Hensley, and Jack Hensley, and one granddaughter Jessica Sandlin.

She is survived by, one daughter, Mary Denise Champion of Forest City, one son, Jerry Ricky Champion and his wife Mary Helen of Forest City, three grandchildren, Cynthia Calhoun and husband Sidney, Gabreille Murray, and AJ Champion and wife Sarah, and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Calhoun, Kalea Champion, Junior Murray, Bree Champion.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 13, 2021, with Jerry Ricky Champion officiating.
