Beatrice Shelton Clements, age 89, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Sunday November 26, 2023, while in the care of Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Beatrice was born in Rutherford County,  and she was the daughter of the late Eli M. and Zora King Shelton. She was also the widow of the late I.O. Clements. In addition to her parents and her husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by three brothers, Everette, Wilkie, and Marion Shelton.

Surviving family is her son, Bobby Clements, daughter, Anita Street, and her husband Ronnie Street, of Rutherfordton, one brother, Wendell Shelton of Morganton. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Ella Smith and husband Jeff, Stephanie Lattimore, and husband Joe, one grandson, Austin Street, and wife Charlie. Also, six great-grandchildren, Abby, Maggie, Lorelei, Rhett Beaumont, Felix, and Theo Smith, all of Rutherford County.

The visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McMahan's Funeral Home Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM at Rutherfordton City Cemetery Wednesday November 29, 2023, with Reverend Buster King officiating. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
