Bernice “Bunt” Harris Arrowood, age 96, of Ellenboro, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home.

A native of Rutherford County, Bunt was the daughter of the late Andrew Harris and Anner Rhodes Harris. She graduated with the Tri-High School Class of 1948 and later attended Spartanburg Methodist College. Bunt was a lifelong member of Caroleen Methodist Church and had recently been attending Harmon Street Baptist Church. She was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers football team. In addition to her parents, Bunt was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Arrowood; her two sons, Buck and Len Arrowood; her grandson, Clint Arrowood; three brothers; and three sisters.

Bunt is survived by her loving family, including her two daughters, Gayle Haynes and her husband, Eric, and Myra Dalton and her husband, Scott; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with Reverend Randy Church officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
