Bernice Ezell King, age 85, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at Hospice House of Rutherford County in Forest City, NC. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Blaynard Ezell and Alma Scoggins Ezell. Bernice was also preceded in death by her husband Adolphus King. Bernice was a member of West Point Baptist Church and was a CNA for 27 years. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Rita King Greenlee and her husband Melvin of Mooresboro, NC Gail King Littleson and her husband Jeff of Mooresville, NC One Son: Blake King and his wife Connie of Forest City Four Brothers: Macel Ezell of East Lansing, MI, Ivan Ezell of Burleson, TX, Lee Ezell of Charlotte, NC, Mahlon Ezell of Morganton, NC Three Sisters: Opal Henderson of Wilmington, NC, Judy Gragg of Connelly Springs, NC, Sylvia Becerra of Ooltewah, TN. Four Grandchildren Five Great-Grandchildren Four Step Great-Grandchildren The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 27, 2015 at West Point Baptist Church with Rev. Lance Scarlett and John Crowder officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMahan's. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
