Obituary

Betty Morrow Parker, age 86, of the Shiloh Community went Home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Rutherford County, Betty was the daughter of the late J.C. "Red" Morrow and the late Agnes "Sook" McMahan Morrow. Betty attended Shiloh Baptist Church; there she enjoyed meeting the ladies of the church on Thursday mornings for breakfast. Betty was a very artistic person. She loved reading, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and painting. Betty also loved her fur babies dearly. Betty was one of the strongest, most selfless and giving people you would ever meet, she will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents Betty was also preceded in death by her husband earlier this year, Junior Parker.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Shelia Parker Whiteside and her husband Jimmy Whiteside, her son, Aaron Parker and his late wife Kathy, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Shiloh Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Shiloh Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024, with Reverend Jason Toney, and Reverend Jason Madison officiating. Interment will be private at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church 1850 Poors Ford Rd. Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
