Betty Craig Starnes, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Verdie Mae Harris Craig and she was a native of Rutherford County. Betty was the widow of the late John Starnes. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Betty loved her family dearly.

Two Daughters: Hellena Bostic Laura Starnes

One Son: Jimmy Starnes and his wife Jamie

One Sister: Faye Godfrey

One Brother: Daniel Craig

Four grandchildren John Robert Bostic and his wife Alex, Jerry Bostic, Josh Bostic and Jessie Grubbs and three great-grandchildren JT  Bostic, Arria Bostic, and Alice Grubbs.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 with Reverend Wayne White officiating. Betty will lie-in-state thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Union Mills, NC with Reverend Josh Calvert officiating. Masks will be required at all services.
