Mr. Blaine B. Cole, age 92, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

He was the son of the late Kelly and Bessie Owens Cole, and was a native of Rutherford County. Blaine was the widow of the late Dorothy H. Cole. He was a life-time member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he was a custodian and grounds keeper for many years. Blaine was also a retired carpenter. In addition to his parents and his wife, Blaine was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Cole, one sister, Marlene Cole Robbins, and half-brother, James Cole.

Blaine is survived by his grandson, Austin Kelly Cole, and one half-sister, Wanelle Buff, as well as many nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022, with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend Reid Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home, 1881 Big Island Rd. Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
