Bobby John Jones, age 83, of Spindale, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at his home.

He was the son of the late Tildon Bales Jones and the late Martha Carver Jones and was a native of Rutherford County. Bobby was the widower of the late Mamie Valerie Holland Jones, they had been married 58 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Bobby loved woodworking and country music. He was also preceded in death by sons; James Kenneth Jones, and Gregory Keith Jones, brother; Tildon Bales Jones Jr., and two sisters; Dorothy L. Hudson and Jeanette Bridges.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 3, 2019 with Reverend Ricky Poteat officiating.
