Bruce Lee Thomas, age 44, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at his home. 

Bruce was born May 2, 1982, and was a native of Rutherford County. Bruce was preceded in death by his father Eddie Dean Thomas, his mother, Betty Payne, and his stepfather, Danny Helton. 

Bruce is survived by his fiancé Bridget Henson, his sons, Michael Thomas, Daniel Thomas (Jordan), Brandon Vance (fiancé Andie Hoyle), and Grayson Henderson, his sister, Cheyane Johnson, four brothers, Robert Thomas, Dean Thomas, Dylan Thomas, and Loujack Thomas, and eight grandchildren. 

The family will have a private service at a later date. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of cremation arrangements.
