C. Kenton Weatherman, age 88, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

He was the son of the late Curtis and Elva Light Weatherman. Kenton was a native of Burke County. He was also a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. Kenton retired from Broughton Hospital as a CNA. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Randall Weatherman; sisters Josephine Godwin and Janet Burleson and a brother Darrell Weatherman.

Survivors include:

Two Daughters: Jalyn Weatherman Tracy Adams and her husband Steve

One Sister: Jean Moore

One Grandson: Stephen Adams and his wife Jonna

One Great-Granddaughter: Sarah Adams

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Jack Crain officiating.
