Cecil Toney, age 62, of 221 Collett Street; Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Rutherford Hospital Inc. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He loved sports and was an avid Tar Heels fan and liked NASCAR. He retired from textile work. Cecil was widower of the late Sandra Hyder Toney. He was son of the late William D. and Etta McCurry Toney. He was also preceded in death by a brother Lester Toney. Funeral service will be at Second Baptist of Rutherfordton at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011. Dr. Keith Stephenson and Rev. Brandon Wood officiating.
