C. F. Jones, age 92, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 12, 2015 surrounded by his family at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was born in Rutherford County on November 6, 1922 to the late Mal Hogue Jones and the late Ola Miller Jones. C.F. was a member of the First Methodist Church of Rutherfordton where he served as the Men's Sunday School Class Teacher for many years.C.F. served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Okinawa. He was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and a Mason with the Western Star Lodge for over 50 years. C.F. was a dedicated public servant and served as Rutherford County Register of Deeds for 24 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Herman Jones and Joseph "Bill" Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Jessie S. Jones. One Daughter: Cricket Jones of Forest City Three Sons: Ronnie Jones and wife Marilyn of Forest City. Scott Jones of Forest City. Freddie Jones and wife Kim of Bostic. Six Grandchildren: Kelly, Courtney, Trent, Chandler, Abbie and Lydia. Six Great-Grandchildren: Preston, Tanner, Layla, Taylor, Sophie and Max. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, August 14, 2015 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private family only.
