Charles Ray Greene, age 94, of Ellenboro, NC, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

Charles was a native of Rutherford County and U S Army veteran of World War II and received a purple heart.  He was a member of Race Path Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Bridges Greene and his son David Greene.

He is survived by

One Daughter: Marilyn Queen

One Son: Larry Greene

Two step-sons: Cecil Bridges and Ron Bridges . One step-daughter Laura "Susie" Bridges.

Nine Grandchildren Ten Great-Grandchildren Three Great-Great-Grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 15, at Race Path Baptist Church.  The Funeral service will be at Race Path Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 15, 2020 with Reverend Randall Cooper and Reverend John Godfrey officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Condolences at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
