Charlotte Patricia "Pat" Whitaker, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to her eternal home on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Robert Clyde Nodine. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved to read Amish books and spend time with family and friends. Pat was a friend to all and will truly be missed. She was also preceded in death by one brother Tommy Wayne Nodine and one son Timmy Whitaker. She is survived by her husband: Joe Whitaker Mother: Grace Nodine One Son: Joey Whitaker and wife Jeanne Three Sisters: Ella Mae Suttles and husband Junior, Libby Dunaway, Debbie Toms and husband Danny Three Brothers: Robert Nodine Jr. and wife Judy, Billy Nodine and wife Jan, Jimmy Nodine Six Grandchildren: Blake Whitaker, Brandon Whitaker, Dustin Whitaker, Dylan Kodad, Amber Carpenter and Lauren Turner One Great-Grandson: Sawyer Dean Whitaker The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Fellowship Baptist Church in Rutherfordton at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 27, 2018 with Reverend Raymond Byrd and Reverend Alvin Melton officiating.
