Claire Simone Kennedy, age 83, of Spindale, NC, died Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Simone Godin and a native of Fitchburg, MA. Claire worked in retail as a sales associate.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, George Godin and Raymond Godin.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years; David Kennedy.

One Daughter: Debbie Kinsley (Rick), Bloomfield, NM

One Son: Martin Gilbert, Spindale, NC; Brothers Gary Godin (Debbie) of Hendersonville, NC; Bobby Godin of Leominster, MA, Larry Godin of Sumter, SC; Bruce Godin of Gardner MA; Sisters; Irene Boucet (Roger) of Winchendon, MA and Gail Bartlett (Eric) of Fitchburg MA.

Five Grandchildren Ten Great-Grandchildren Two Great-Great-Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Gathering of family and friends will be at McMahan's Funeral Home from  5:00 PM to 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2026.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory in charge of arrangements.
