Clella-Ann Zavada Barnes, age 83, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Clella Zavada. Clella-Ann was born in Montana and lived all over. She has traveled the world twice. Clella-Ann ended up in Asheville, NC a place she loved dearly, and she settled in the foothills of a small town called Rutherfordton.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney Barnes, of Rutherfordton, two daughters,  Rebekah Goforth, and husband Richie, of Shelby, and Audrey Goforth, and husband Simms Rentz, of Asheville, two sons, David Goforth, and wife Kay, of Asheville, and Pat Goforth, and wife Norma, of TX, one sister, Eileen Zavada, of AZ, one brother, Z. Zavada, of Asheville, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be no local services held at this time. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
