Cody Henderson, age 19, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was a graduate of Chase High School where he was a loyal member of the basketball team.  Cody had a huge heart and he showed it through being a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, the best uncle and best friend any person could ask for. Some of the things he loved to do include listening to music, playing video games, camping with his grandparents, and spending time with friends and his family. Cody was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Ann Henderson. Survivors on his mother's side of the family all of Rutherford County include: mother, Angela Henderson; sisters, Heather Henderson, and Morrigan Godfrey; one aunt, Michele Henderson; three nieces Hannah, Allie and Sophie Ledbetter; one nephew, Issac Godfrey, and one uncle, Travis Henderson. Survivors from the father's side of the family, all of Gaffney include; father, Michael Parker Jr.; paternal-grandparents, Mike and  Wanda Parker; brother, Dustin Parker; sister, Mahala Webb; aunt Pam McAbee; two cousins, Zachary and Brianna Miller. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  A gathering service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home from  2-3 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2021.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
