Cuvia Floyd, age 72, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 24, 2023, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina.

A native of Rutherford County, Cuvia was the daughter of the late Warren and Anna Mae Andrews. She was a member at Westminster Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. Cuvia was a lover of all animals, and she enjoyed watching squirrels and birds while working in her yard. Cuvia loved her family, and she also had a strong love for dogs. Cuvia leaves behind her beloved dog, Rusty, who will miss her dearly, as well as the rest of her family.

Cuvia is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Tim Floyd, of Rutherfordton, two sons, Bryan Moore (Amie), and Bruce Moore, one sister, Warrleen Heatherly and her husband Wilson, all of Rutherfordton, several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces.

At Cuvia's request, there will be no formal services for her, but a private celebration of her life will be held by her family. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
