Dan L.  Moore, age 73, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Duke University Hospital.

He was the son of late George & Effie Moore and a native of Rutherford County.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Polk County.  Dan was a retired automobile mechanic and operated a towing service.  He was preceded in death by one son Richard Moore, one son-in-law David Ramsey and two brothers, Gene Moore and Lewis Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Marthell Bailey Moore.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  The Funeral service will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Polk County at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2020 with Reverend Warren Elliott and Reverend Todd Laughter officiating.
