Daniel "Danny" Camp, age 74, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Rutherford County Danny was the son of the late Tom Camp and the late Louise Gurley Camp. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bradley Camp. Danny was a lifelong, very active member and Deacon, at West Point Baptist Church. He thoroughly enjoyed and was very dedicated to working on the Tom Camp Family Farm. Danny was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, and he will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Shannon Detzler, her husband Ben and their son, Camp Detzler all of Myrtle Beach, SC, his sister, Cythenia Ruppe, of Rutherfordton, and his brother, David Camp and his wife Frances, of Rutherfordton.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM, Friday, July 12, 2024, at West Point Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at West Point Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Friday, July 12, 2024, with Reverend Lance Scarlett, and Reverend Anton Roos officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to West Point Baptist Church Building Fund, 1160 Union Rd. Rutherfordton, NC 2813. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
