Daniel Briscoe Craig, age 67, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

A native of Rutherford County, Daniel was the son of the late Johnny and Verdie Mae Craig. Daniel loved sitting on his porch with his wife watching the wildlife and enjoying the outdoors. He loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and his great grandchild very much. Two of Daniels favorite things were Reese Cups and Sundrop. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by three brother, and two sisters,

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Katherine D. Craig, his three daughters, Natosha D. Hackett (Bobby), LaCosta N. Smith (D.J.) and Shawnrisna C. Mast (Carlos), one son, Shannon B. Craig (Amanda), one sister, Faye Godfrey (Joe), fourteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, with Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. The family has requested that guest dress casual and in the color red if able, which was Daniel's favorite color. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
