David A. "Jim" Moore, age 97, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home. He was the son of the late Ralph W. Moore and the late Gertrude Taylor Moore and a native of Polk County. Jim was the widower of the late Carolyn Hill Moore. He was preceded in death by one daugher Alice Faye Moore and one son David A. "Rod" Moore Jr. and also his sister Beatrice Moore Flack. He was a lifetime member of Gray's Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by three nephews Eddie Flack of Union Mlls, Caroll Flack and his wife Brenda of Dallas, NC; Larry Flack of Union Mills. Two nieces Linda Cole of Rutherfordton and Joyce Drye and her husband Benny of Albemarle, NC. The Memorial service will be at Gray's Chapel Unitied Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 with Reverend Dr. James Powell and Reverend Caroll Flack officiating.
