Dawson Williamson of Boiling Springs, SC, formerly of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on May 1st, 2026, at the age of 21.

He was a 2025 graduate of McCarthy Teszler School. He was the beloved son of Benji and Brandi Lollar, and a cherished brother who was deeply adored by his sisters.

Dawson was the joy of his mama's life, and Benji's side kick and loved riding around in the "trash truck" looking at the girls. He found joy in outings to Walmart and was known for waking his family at sunrise. He brought light to all who knew him. He had a lively spirit, a loving heart, and a gift for making others smile. He especially loved family gatherings, where his infectious laughter and warm personality could light up any room.

Dawson leaves behind a family who will forever treasure his sweet memories including his parents, Benji and Brandi Lollar, his sisters, Gabbie Williamson, Ava Williamson, Lexi Lollar, and Carah Lollar, and two grandparents, Gaylon and Donna Williamson, and Christine Turner.

Dawson was welcomed into heaven by his paternal grandparents, Benny (his couch Buddy), and Evelyn Lollar, who preceded him in passing.

Though his time here was far too short, Dawson's life was filled with love, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at McMahan’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with Reverend Mitch Trammel officiating. Dawson loved bright colors, please wear something bright in honor of him for his service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Williamson Family to help with funeral costs. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
