Donald Harold Hodge "Donnie" of Forest City, passed away on November 4, 2025, at Rutherford Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Rutherfordton on July 2, 1959, to Lester H. Hodge and the late Mary Sue Haynes Hodge. Donnie graduated from RS Central High School in 1977. He was proud to wear jersey # 60 and be part of the dynamic Hilltopper football team. After graduation, Donnie spent his career years in the wholesale used car business locally and in Florida. His humor and quick wit are memorable characteristics of Donnie's personality throughout his life.

In addition to his father, Donnie is survived by many other family members.

A private service of remembrance and thanksgiving will be held by the family. Inurnment will be at Piedmont Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory.
