Donald A. Taylor, age 88, of Ellenboro,died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. He was a native of Point Pleasant, W.V. and the son of the late Howard Taylor and the late Susie Eads Taylor. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran and a member of Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Minturn Masonic Lodge #19 in West Virginia. Donald was a longtime resident of Sarasota, FL and loved photography, working on anything mechanical and was an avid tool collector. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Randal Taylor and one brother Howard Lee Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Jean Taylor One Daughter: Connie Kinman and husband Mark of Ellenboro, NC One Sister: Norma Jean Smith of Lake City, FL Two Grandchildren: Brinton McClellan of Bradenton, FL and Brandon McClellan of Murrells Inlet, SC One Great-Granddaughter: Ashlyn McClellan The visitation will be 2:00pm to 3:00pm Friday April 28, 2017 at Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 28, 2017 with Reverend Julie O'Neal officiating.
