Dorothy "Dot" Noblitt, age 86, of Columbus, NC, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC.

She was the daughter of the late Fairy and Minnie Laughter and she was a native of Polk County. Dot was a good Christian lady who loved her family unconditionally. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Shults Greene, first husband, Ferd Shults, second husband Arnold Noblitt, two sisters, Ann Murphy, and Pauline Stewart, and three brothers, Joe Laughter, Leroy Laughter, and James Laughter.

Dot is survived by four sisters, Marie McEntyre, Rutherfordton, NC, Arrie Mills, Mill Spring, NC, Betty Jackson, Mill Spring, NC, and Alma Laughter, Mill Spring, NC, and two grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece and special caregiver, Betty Jo Owensby, and many other nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Victory in Jesus Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC.  The funeral service will be at Victory In Jesus Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2022 with Reverend Todd Lawter officiating.
