Elizabeth Ann Fowler Eaves, age 75, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, July 7, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Clarence Hicks Fowler and the late Annie Hodge Fowler. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton and attended Piedmont Baptist Church. She had worked for Grindstaff's Interiors, PPG Industries, Rutherford Hospital and the Dairy Goat Association but was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the Thermal Belt Model A Club. She was an avid animal lover and loved to fish, read and cross stitch. Elizabeth was a graduate of R-S Central High School, attended Appalachian Teachers College and Cecils Business College. She was the local campian manager for the late Sen. Jessie Helms and played the organ at Calvary Baptist Church for several years but most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband: Jerry Maurice Eaves Sr. whom she was married to for 55 years as of June 30, 2017. Three Sons: Jerry Maurice Eaves, Jr. of Ashland , VA Gregory Scott Eaves and wife Laura Ann of Greenville, NC Chadwick Joel Eaves of Rutherfordton Four Grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholos, Kent and John Eaves and one aunt Nora Ruth Maxwell The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Piedmont Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 10, 2017 with Rev. Ad Hopper, Rev. Dean Baughn and Rev. Tim Marsh officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Rutherford Hospital and Hospice of Rutherford County for the care given to Elizabeth during her illness.
