Elizabeth Haddock, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Jesse and Fay Coker. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Jones.

Elizabeth loved her family and animals. She always provided a home and shelter for her dogs or cats. She loved crafting and making gifts for her friends especially around Christmas. She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit her favorite location, Hawaii, several times. She was always eager to make trips to Texas and Georgia so she could be with family. She enjoyed the successes of her nieces and nephews. Elizabeth retired from UNC Charlotte where she worked in HR administration in the facilities management group. She was always a shining light, cheerful and a pleasure to be around. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Left to cherish her memory is Elizabeth's husband of 46 years, Douglas Haddock, one brother, Charlie Jones, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will have a gathering for family and friends, to celebrate Elizabeth's life from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the Rutherfordton Clubhouse, Saturday March 9, 2024.
