Elma Lee Philbeck was born in Chase City, VA on May 16, 1930 and she passed away June 5, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at the age of 90.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Forrest and Vera Smiley Luckadoo and her brother, William Forrest Luckadoo, Jr. She worked in finance for 34 years and was an active member of Green Hill Baptist Church. Elma was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade L. Philbeck of 65 years of marriage.

She is survived by her sister Lounette Matthews and spouse Don Matthews, and a nephew, Donnie Matthews.

Elma will lie-in-state from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2020 with Reverend Matthew Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Green Hill Baptist Church.
