Esther Arledge Hill, age 80, of Forest City, NC, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Spartanburg County, Esther was the daughter of the late Wallace Arledge and Carrie Kimbrelle Arledge. Esther was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and working in her flower garden. Esther loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hill, two sons, Frankie Hill, and Johnny Hill, and all six of her siblings.

Esther is survived by one daughter, Ann H. Skipper and her husband Shannon, four grandchildren, Shane Skipper, Tyler Skipper, Jessica Brown, and Jonathan Hill, and three great grandchildren, Magnolia Hill, McKenzie Hill, and Raelyn Brown.  Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 17, 2023. Interment will be at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Forest City, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Floyd's Creek Baptist Church; 2004 Chase High Rd. Forest City, NC 28043, or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; P. O. Box 336 Foerst City, NC 28043.
