Ethel Russell Johnson, age 90, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center. She was the daughter of the late Bob Russell and the late Macy Pritchard Russell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Johnson Sr.; brothers Hubert Russell, Grady Russell, Jessie Russell and Horace Russell and a sister Sue Holbert. Ethel was a native of Polk County and a member of Second Baptist Church Survivors include One Daughter: Connie Keeter and her husband John of Forest City Three Sons: James Robert Johnson, Jr. and his wife Jane of Spindale Randy Johnson and his wife Carol of Rutherfordton Rusty Johnson of Rutherfordton Nine Grandchildren Twenty two Great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson and Reverend Johnny McCarty officiating.
