Evelyn Haulk Sumner, age 88, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Oak Grove Health Care Center in Rutherfordton, NC.

She was the daughter of the late Jake Haulk and the late Sarah Haulk. In addition to her parents Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Frank Mitchell Sumner Sr and a daughter Amy Sumner James. She was a native of Rutherford County.

Evelyn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Karen Driver (Kenny)

Two Sons: John Sumner Frank  Mitchell Sumner, Jr.

Eight Grandchildren

Seven Great-grandchildren
