Faye Glasson Jones, age 88, of Forest City, NC, died Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was born in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Harry Odell Glasson and the late Alice Mae Ridings Glasson. Faye was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and loved to travel, garden, being outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. She completed her LPN training at Cleveland Community College and was retired from Rutherford Hospital as a nurse. She was the widow of the late Albert S. Jones Sr. to whom she was married for 66 years. She was preceded in death by one sister Mary Glasson Moore of Spartanburg, SC. She is survived by One Daughter: Mary J. Brown, Forest City, NC One Son: Ret.Maj. Albert Jones, Jr., Forest City, NC Two Grandchildren: Haley Chapman Riney of Forest City and Elizabeth Doane Jarrett and husband Dr. Aaron Jarrett of Ft. Collins, CO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, prior to the service at McMahan's . The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2017 with Reverend Terry Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
