Fern Mohr, age 101, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at Oak Grove Healthcare Center.

A native of Hillsdale, MI, Fern was the daughter of the late Joseph and May Betts. Fern was a member of Green River Baptist Church, and Fern loved going every day to the Rutherford County Senior Center. In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Mohr, one son, Lynn Mohr, and her sister, Sylvia Pease.

Fern is survived by two granddaughters, April Sharp, and Juanita Murphy, three great-grandchildren, and her caregiver and her family, Joan Jolley.

The memorial service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024 with Reverend Cody Morris officiating. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutherford County Senior Center, or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
