Fran Cairnes, age 91, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Jeter P. Jones and the late Blanche Holbert Jones and a native of Henderson County. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was the widow to the late Bill Cairnes and also preceded in death by two sisters; Louise Martin and Lillian Griffin. Fran was a sports fan and loved the game of golf, baseball and John Wayne. She is survived by One Brother: J. P. Jones, Jr., and his wife Barbara of Brevard, NC. A number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2019. The Funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson and Reverend Brandon Wood officiating. Interment will be at Shepherds Memorial Park, Hendersonville, NC at 2:00 P.M. Thursday.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church; 191 Green Street; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
