Frances "Ann" Matheny Privette, age 74, of Forest City, North Carolina, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Spartanburg Trauma Center.

Ann is survived by her mother, Frances "Peggy" Edwards Jones, her sister, Jayne Matheny Bradley, a brother-in-law, aunt, uncle, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and endearing neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband, E. D. "Butch" Privette.

Ann's passion of sharing her love for her family and friends was expressed by her own personal card ministry. Many of her recipients were members of her church, First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton, NC. She always included family and special children in her life.

Her career was with several large insurance companies in Charlotte, NC. She was recognized as one of the most accurate Records Clerks in the industry. She will be missed by many whose lives she touched by her love and devotion.

No formal ceremony will be held. The family and friends plan to celebrate her life at a later date. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
