Gaines Marshall Arrowood, age 75, of Rutherfordton, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Cleveland Berry Arrowood and the late Willie Sue Hall Arrowood. Gaines was a kind, generous, loving Christian man who loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by one brother Talmadge Arrowood and on sister Margie Jolley. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Laughter Arrowood One Sister: Betty Thomason One Brother: Asa Arrowood and wife Peggy One Brother in Law: Ralph Laughter and wife Mildred One Sister in Law: Dorothy Wright Nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. The funeral service will be at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 23, 2018 with Reverend Jack Crain and Reverend Leon Brown officiating. Interment will be at Nealsville Church of God Cemetery, Marion, NC. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
