Gary "Bud" Donald Lovelace, age 72, of Rutherfordton, NC, formerly of Forest City, NC was reunited with loved ones in Heaven Monday, June 8, 2026.

Bud was the son of the late Robert Lovelace and the late Coralee Keeter Lovelace. Bud was a member of Robertson Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Steven Lovelace.

Left to cherish Bud's memory is his son, Buddy Lovelace Jr. of TX, his sister, Linda Couch of Forest City, NC, sister-in-law, Marion Lovelace of Knoxville, TN, three nieces, Julie Lovelace of CA, Brooke Lovelace (Ben) of Knoxville, TN, and Christa Self (Randy) and one nephew, Jimmy Couch (Melody) Forest City, NC.

Bud will lie-in-state thirty minutes prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with Reverend Scotty Keeter officiating. Interment will be private at Robertson Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bostic, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
