George Lester Womack, Jr., age 64, of Mill Spring, NC, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

A native of Rutherford County, Les was the son of the late Les Womack, Sr. and the late Elfie Womack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sonja Womack. Les was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, hunt, and forage for wild mushrooms. He retired from the Navy after 22 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory is, his wife, Patty Womack, four daughters, Shayna Womack (Thomas Beeson), Tasha Womack, Joely Womack, and Kylie Womack, one sister, Sylvia Pfaff (Terry), two brothers, Mike Womack, and Gerhard Lewicki, and two grandchildren, Emy and Nora Beeson.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at McMahan's Funeral Home from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023. In lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made to a charity of your choice. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
